About Debbie Carfagno
I have spent a lifetime in the Visual Arts. After earning a BFA from the
School of Visual Arts in New York City, I became a master seriographer,
creating prints for numerous artists, most notable Andy Warhol from
1975-1983. In the 1980's, I founded Now Voyager Gallery in Bucks
County, Pennsylvania, exhibiting both local and New York artists.
Since moving to Miami in 1994, I have been developing my own artistic
vision, as well as establishing success as a private dealer, specializing in
Bluechip Pop Art.
The fabrication process of my work includes converting hand drawings
to cut aluminum, which are then painted in oil. My practice seeks to
create a highly dimensional effect by reducing images to their essence. This work lies between painting and sculpture, balancing abstraction and realism.
